ATLANTA, June 6 (UPI) -- Horacio Ramirez pitched eight innings and Andruw Jones and Adam LaRoche homered Tuesday as the Atlanta Braves posted a 5-3 win over the Washington Nationals.

Ramirez (2-1) allowed three runs on eight hits with a walk and five strikeouts. He has made only four starts this year because of a strained left hamstring.

Ryan Langerhans went 2-for-3 and scored twice for the Braves, who snapped a five-game losing streak. Brayan Pena went 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored once.

Alfonso Soriano hit a two-run homer and Nick Johnson knocked in the other run for the Nationals, who saw a season-high five-game win streak halted. Shawn Hill (0-1) suffered the loss after allowing four runs on seven hits in six innings.
