Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MILWAUKEE, June 4 (UPI) -- Alfonso Soriano hit two home runs, including a grand slam, Sunday as Washington beat Milwaukee, 8-4, completing a three-game sweep.
Soriano had three hits, scored twice and drive in five runs. Jose Vidro had three hits. Royce Clayton had one hit and one RBI. and Brendan Harris scored twice for the Nationals (25-32), who have won their last four games.
Winner Tony Armas (6-3) yielded only one run and two hits in six innings. He walked one and struck out four.
Gabe Gross hit a two-run homer, while both Corey Koskie and Carlos Lee had one hit and one RBI for the Brewers (26-31), who have lost a season-high eight straight games.
Losing pitcher Jorge De La Rosa (2-2) gave up five runs and six hits in 5 2/3 innings.
