MLB: San Diego 7, Pittsburgh 0 (6 inn.)

PITTSBURGH, June 2 (UPI) -- Chan Ho Park hurled a six-inning, five-hit shutout Friday night when San Diego blanked Pittsburgh, 7-0, for its third win in a row.

Mike Piazza and Brian Giles hit home runs; Eric Young had one run and three hits; Josh Barfield had one run and two hits; Adrian Gonzalez extended his hitting streak to 11 games; and Park had three hits and drove in two runs for the Padres (29-25).

Park (3-3) walked two and struck out eight.

Jason Bay, Jeromy Burnitz and Nate McLouth each hit a double for the Pirates (20-35), who had a four-game winning streak snapped.

In three innings, losing pitcher Oliver Perez (2-6) surrendered five runs and nine hits.

He had no walks and five strikeouts.

There was a two-hour rain delay before the contest got underway and it was called when San Diego was batting in the seventh inning.
