DENVER, June 1 (UPI) -- Dedi Ben Dayan scored a goal in the Colorado Rapids' 1-0 MLS victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy, which was shutout for the fifth consecutive game.
Colorado goaltender Bouna Coundoul stopped just four shots in collecting the shutout Wednesday.
Dayan's goal -- his first of the season -- came off a corner kick in the game's 33rd minute. Terry Cooke took the corner kick for the Rapids and Dayan was able to elude defender Ugo Ihemelu just enough to get the ball into the goal.
Of more note is the Galaxy's offensive woes. Los Angeles did not manage a goal during the month of May and has gone 480 minutes since scoring. The team is 77 minutes from the MLS scoring drought record set last year by the expansion Real Salt Lake.
Los Angles has been outscored 10-0 in its five-game losing streak, which includes consecutive 1-0 losses to Colorado. All of the team's seven losses have been shutouts, including five one-goal games.
