MLB: L.A. Dodgers 8, Atlanta 3

ATLANTA, May 30 (UPI) -- Andre Ethier homered and drove in three runs Tuesday to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to an 8-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves.

Nomar Garciaparra added two hits, an RBI and two runs scored for the Dodgers.

Willy Aybar had two RBI for Los Angeles, which has won 18 of its last 22 contests to improve to 30-22 this season and remain one-half game behind the Arizona Diamondbacks for the lead in the NL West.

Adam LaRoche homered and Andruw Jones drove in a run for the Braves, who fell one-half game behind the Philadelphia Phillies to third place in the NL East standings.
