Stewart Cink leads The Colonial

FORT WORTH, Texas, May 18 (UPI) -- With a 6-under 64 Thursday, Stewart Cink is the first-round leader by one shot at the PGA's Colonial Golf Tournament at Fort Worth, Texas.

Bubba Watson, Arron Oberholser, Stephen Ames, Zach Johnson and Charley Hoffman are tied for second at 5-under 65.

Defending champion and two-time Colonial winner Kenny Perry opened with a 4-under 66 and is among a group of eight players tied for seventh place. That group includes Jim Furyk and Mike Weir.

Close behind at 3-under 67 are Chad Campbell, Bo Van Pelt and Dean Wilson.

Perry is back to defend his title this week after missing two months to recover from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
