MLB: Colorado 5, LA Dodgers 1

DENVER, May 17 (UPI) -- Brad Hawpe hit a 3-run home run and finished with four RBI in pacing the Colorado Rockies to a 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Hawpe had two hits and Matt Holliday four Tuesday for the Rockies, who had lost five of their previous six games.

Byung-Hyun Kim (2-1) allowed one run and four hits, although he walked five, over seven innings in collecting the victory. The Dodgers touched him for a run in the first inning as Kim walked the bases loaded and J.D. Drew singled in a run.

All the Colorado scoring came off Dodgers starter Derek Lowe (1-3).

Colorado tied the score in the second with Hawpe singling in Holliday and the Rockies went ahead in the fourth with Hawpe's 10th home run of the season.

Colorado added to its lead in the fifth with Holliday singling in the run.
