Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

CINCINNATI, May 11 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Reds are looking to add some hits of a different sort to their climb toward a pennant this season.
The club has released a CD featuring local bands performing original songs about baseball and the Reds. The idea as a way to reach young fans was credited to former Reds star George Foster, The Cincinnati Post said.
On the CD, there's one well-known name in the lineup, Peter Frampton. The others are groups known with such monikers as psychodos, Screaming Mines and Freebass.
Sales of the CD will benefit the Reds Community Fund, an outreach program for children.
