Pete Rose has minor surgery

CINCINNATI, May 11 (UPI) -- Pete Rose underwent minor outpatient surgery in Cincinnati Wednesday to remove some scar tissue from around his heart, reports said Thursday.

Rose drove home after the procedure, the Cincinnati Enquirer said.

Agent Joe Bick said Pete Rose Jr. told him his father's vital signs remained good throughout. The procedure was not an angioplasty, he said.
