
SAN FRANCISCO, May 9 (UPI) -- Pedro Feliz hit a home run during a 5-run San Francisco rally in helping the Giants to a 7-5 victory over the Houston Astros.
It was the fourth consecutive loss for the National League champion Astros, who scored three times in the ninth inning -- two on Mike Lamb's pinch-hit home run -- Monday to make the score respectable.
San Francisco's Noah Lowry (1-0), just taken off the disabled list, collected the victory and gave up two runs and seven hits over seven innings. Houston starter Roy Oswalt (5-2) gave up 10 hits and seven runs in 4 1/3 innings in taking the loss.
The score was 2-2 going into the bottom of the fifth. Randy Winn led off with a triple for the Giants and scored on a fielder's choice that allowed Steve Finley to reach base. Feliz followed with his fifth home run of the season to make the score 5-2.Todd Greene singled and score on a Mark Sweeney triple. Sweeney made the score 7-2 on a Lance Niekro single.
