MLB: St. Louis 7, Florida 6

MIAMI, May 6 (UPI) -- Juan Encarnacion tripled in two runs in a five-run fifth inning Saturday night as St. Louis beat the Florida Marlins, 7-6.

Scott Rolen had two runs and three hits, while Hector Luna, Jim Edmonds and David Eckstein all had two hits for the Cardinals (19-12), who have won two in a row following a four-game losing streak.

Winner Mark Mulder (3-1) gave up three runs and six hits in six innings with three walks and one strikeout. Jason Isringhausen earned his eighth save.

Hanley Ramirez had three hits and three RBI and scored a run, while Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run double for the Marlins (8-20).

Florida has lost seven of its last nine games and nine straight home games.

Losing pitcher Dontrelle Willis (1-3) surrendered seven runs and 12 hits in 4 2/3 innings.

In his last two starts, Willis has given up 14 runs and 20 hits in 12 innings.
