
BOSTON, May 5 (UPI) -- A three-run double by David Ortiz in the sixth inning Friday night helped Boston beat the Baltimore Orioles, 6-3.
Mike Lowell hit three doubles and scored two runs; and Kevin Youkilis had two hits, scored twice and knocked in one for the Red Sox (17-12), who have a nine-game winning streak against Baltimore.
Winner Curt Schilling (5-1) gave up three runs and eight hits over seven innings with no walks and five strikeouts.
Boston has won three of its last four games.
Nick Markakis, Jay Gibbons and Brandon Fahey each had an RBI; Markakis, Melvin Mora and ex-Red Sox' DH Kevin Millar had two hits for the Orioles (14-17), who have dropped three in a row six of their last seven games.
Loser Rodrigo Lopez (1-4) gave up five runs and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out four.
