"I am very excited to be at The University of Alabama," Shula said. "I'm excited about our future at Alabama and I love the university. This is a great place to live and work. With our new facilities and support areas, our future is very bright."

Shula has a record of 20-17 in three seasons. The Crimson Tide went 10-2 overall (6-2 SEC West) in the 2005-06 season, and was eighth in the final USA Today/ESPN coaches poll.
