Nadal meets Robredo in all-Spanish final

BARCELONA, Spain, April 29 (UPI) -- French Open Champion Rafael Nadal will play fellow Spaniard Tommy Robredo in Sunday's final of the 2006 Open SEAT tennis championship in Barcelona, Spain.

Nadal will try for his second straight Barcelona crown after beating fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro, 7-6 (7-2), 6-3, in Saturday's semifinals. Robredo won the other semifinal with a 6-4, 6-4, victory over Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka.

It was Nadal's 46th straight victory on clay, tying Swedish legend Bjorn Borg for the second-longest clay-court winning streak. Argentine's Guillermo Vilas is tops on the list with 53 straight clay wins.

Nadal, 19, improved to 21-3 for the season and is going for his third title of 2006 on Sunday. He beat Roger Federer to win in Dubai in March and knocked off the Swiss star again to claim last week's Monte Carlo Masters.

Robredo won the Open SEAT in 2004.

Sunday's winner will collect $161,000.
