
CLEVELAND, April 29 (UPI) -- Jason Michaels had three hits, scored twice and added two RBI Friday night as Cleveland edged the Texas Rangers, 7-6.
Eduardo Perez had a hit and two RBI; Grady Sizemore had one hit and scored twice; while Jhonny Peralta, Victor Martinez and Aaron Boone each had an RBI for the Indians (13-10). Cleveland has built a three-game winning streak.
In relief of starter Jason Johnson, the winner was Jason Davis (1-0). Closer Bob Wickman worked out of a jam in the ninth inning to record his fifth save of the season. It tied him with Doug Jones for the most saves in Cleveland history at 129.
Kevin Mench hit a home run in his seventh consecutive game; while Hank Blalock had two hits and two RBI for the Rangers (11-12), who have lost three of their last four following a four-game winning streak.
The loser was Rick Bauer (1-1).
