MLB: Tampa Bay 5, Boston 2

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., April 28 (UPI) -- Ty Wigginton drove in two runs Friday night to help Tampa Bay beat the Boston Red Sox, 5-2.

Toby Hall added two hits while Travis Lee, Joey Gathright and Carl Crawford all had one RBI for the Devil Rays (10-13), who won for just the second time in their last seven games.

Winner Casey Fossum (1-1) allowed only three hits in six scoreless innings with five walks and two strikeouts.

Trot Nixon and J.T. Snow each drove in a run while Mike Lowell had a run and two hits for the Red Sox (13-10). Boston has lost three straight and six of its last eight.

Losing pitcher Matt Clement (2-2) allowed five runs and five hits in six innings with six walks and four strikeouts.

It was Clement's first road loss of the season.
