DENVER, April 27 (UPI) -- Alex Tanguay scored 1:09 into overtime Wednesday night as Colorado beat the Dallas Stars, 4-3, to take a 3-0 lead in their Western Conference playoff series.
Overall, Tanguay had two goals and one assist; Joe Sakic had a goal and an assist; Andrew Brunette scored once; Brett Clark, Patrice Brisebois, Milan Hejduk, and Wojtek Wolski assisted once each; and Jose Theodore made 19 saves for the Avalanche, who will go for a sweep in Game Four on Friday night.
Stu Barnes, Jon Klemm and Sergei Zubov all scored goals; Brendan Morrow had two assists; while Marty Turco made 25 saves for the Stars.
Sakic has six points in the series.
