MLB: Cincinnati 5, Washington 0

WASHINGTON, April 26 (UPI) -- Bronson Arroyo limited the Nationals to one hit over eight scoreless innings Wednesday afternoon as Cincinnati beat Washington, 5-0.

The victory competed a three-game sweep.

Adam Dunn went 3-for-5 and scored once; Edwin Encarnacion had two hits and an RBI; David Ross hit the first upper-deck home run at RFK Stadium; and Scott Hatteberg also had two hits for Cincinnati (15-7), which has built a four-game winning steak.

Arroyo (4-0) walked two and fanned eight batters. Relievers Kent Mercker and David Weathers pitched the ninth inning to complete the one-hit gem.

Third baseman Ryan Zimmerman hit a single in the fourth inning for the lone Nationals' lone hit.

Losing pitcher Ramon Ortiz (0-3) gave up five runs and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings with three walks and six strikeouts. The Nationals sank to 1-7 in home games and have lost four in a row.
