MLS: Houston 2, Real Salt Lake 1

HOUSTON, April 23 (UPI) -- Dwayne De Rosario scored his first goal of the season Saturday night as the Houston Dynamo beat Real Salt Lake, 2-1.

De Rosario's goal came six minutes from the end of the match.

Craig Waibel scored the other goal for the Dynamo (2-2-0), who broke a two-game losing streak.

Forward Jeff Cunningham scored the lone goal for Real Salt Lake (0-3-1) in the 57th minute. The Houston defense managed to control the Real offense, denying the visitors a single shot on goal in the first 45 minutes.

Scott Garlick made four saves in goal for Real and his Houston counterpart, Pat Onstad, needed to make only two. At 0-3-1, Real is last in the Western Division. Houston is in second place.
