Tommie Harris' wife dies

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 18 (UPI) -- Sergei Fedorov scored 35 seconds into overtime Tuesday to lift the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 5-4 victory over the Dallas Stars.
David Vyborny had a goal and two assists and Trevor Letowski a goal and one assist for the Blue Jackets, who end their season with three wins in their final four games. Marc Denis stopped 32-of-36 shots in the win.
Steve Ott, Niklas Hagman and Bill Guerin each had a goal and an assist for the Stars, who finish as the second seed in the Western Conference and will face Colorado in the first round of the playoffs. Johan Hedberg made 26 saves for Dallas.
