NBA: Philadelphia 91, New Jersey 88

PHILADELPHIA, April 18 (UPI) -- Andre Iguodala had a career-high 27 points and eight assists Tuesday as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the New Jersey nets, 91-88.

Sixers guard Allen Iverson and forward Chris Webber did not play. Iguodala picked up his game in their absence, and Willie Green added 14 points.

Philadelphia dominated in the paint, outscoring New Jersey 44-18 underneath the rim.

Vince Carter played into the third quarter, scoring 16 points and dishing out five assists. Carter's field goal late in the third period pushed him past Bernard King for the club single-season points record. King totaled 1,909 points during the 1977-78 season, while Carter reached 1,911 points.

Lamond Murray led the Nets with 19 points, while Clifford Robinson added 14 points. New Jersey is entrenched in the third playoff spot for the Eastern Conference playoffs.
