Duke's Redick wins Sullivan Award

NEW YORK, April 13 (UPI) -- Duke basketball star J.J. Redick has won the James E. Sullivan Memorial Award, emblematic of the top amateur athlete in the United States.

Redick is the third basketball player to win the honor in the 76 years it has been given. Bill Bradley won in 1965 and Bill Walton took the award in 1973.
