NHL: Ottawa 4, Boston 3 (OT)

OTTAWA, April 11 (UPI) -- Zdeno Chara scored two goals Tuesday, including the game-winner 40 seconds into overtime, as Ottawa beat Boston, 4-3.

The Senators moved into sole possession of first place in the NHL Eastern Conference.

Antoine Vermette and Chris Kelly each scored for the Senators, which ended a season-long four game losing streak and moved a point ahead of Carolina for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

Michael Morrison, in his first start with Ottawa, stopped 18 shots for the win.

Travis Green, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Stuart each scored a goal for the Bruins, who have lost 10 straight on the road. Tim Thomas stopped 40 of 44 shots in a losing effort.
