NHL: NY Islanders 3, NY Rangers 2

NEW YORK, April 11 (UPI) -- Miroslav Satan scored twice Tuesday as the New York Islanders delayed the New York Rangers bid for the Atlantic Division crown with a 3-2 victory.

Chris Campoli had the other goal for the Islanders, who have won two straight following a six-game skid. Rick DiPietro stopped 36 shots and Mike York got his 39th assist of the season.

Michael Nylander scored for the Rangers, who lost their second straight. Petr Prucha scored his 30th goal of the season for the Rangers, who saw their lead in the division dwindle to three points on Philadelphia, as the Flyers beat Pittsburgh, 4-3, Tuesday night.

It was Prucha's 16th power play goal of the season, which established a Rangers rookie record, previously held by Camille Henry (1953-54). Kevin Weekes stopped 27 shots for the Rangers.
