NHL: Vancouver 3, Calgary 2 (OT)

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 9 (UPI) -- Ed Jovanovski scored the game-winning goal in overtime Saturday to give Vancouver a 3-2 win over Calgary at General Motors Place.

Brendan Morrison and Mattias Ohlund scored first period power-play goals for the Canucks, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Alexander Auld made 22 saves in the win, which moves the Canucks moved into a tie with San Jose for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Mark Giordano and Byron Ritchie both scored for Calgary, which netted two goals in the third to tie the game. Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 24 of the 27 shots he faced for Calgary.
