NBA: Detroit 98, Indiana 73

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., April 9 (UPI) -- Tayshaun Prince scored a team-high 17 points Sunday as Detroit clobbered Indiana, 98-73.

Prince also had three rebounds and three assists.

Lindsey Hunter had a season-high 14 points and five assists; Richard Hamilton had 12 points and three assists; Chauncey Billups totaled 11 points, three rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots; and Ben Wallace, who scored only four points, added 22 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals as Detroit rose to 62-15. Its win total is one short of the franchise record of 63, set in the 1988-89 season.

Stephen Jackson had 15 points and two steals; Jermaine O'Neal totaled 12 points, five rebounds, two assists and two blocks; while Peja Stojakovic had 11 points, five rebounds and two assists for the struggling Pacers (36-40), who have dropped seven of their last eight games.

Despite its recent swoon, Indiana remains seventh in the East, one game ahead of Chicago and Philadelphia.
