MLB: Atlanta 9, L.A. Dodgers 8

LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) -- Ryan Langerhans delivered a 2-out run-scoring double in the eighth inning to help the Atlanta Braves to a 9-8 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Langerhans' ground-rule double to right field snapped an 8-8 tie and made a loser of Franquelis Osoria (0-1). Langerhans hit a game-winning home run off Osoria in the team's opening game of the season earlier this week.

Atlanta reliever Oscar Villarreal (2-0) collected the victory after each of Langerhans' heroics.

The Braves' Wilson Betemit hit a home run in 5-run third-inning rally and Atlanta added three runs the following inning to build an 8-5 lead.

Los Angeles scored four times in the first inning, with Roberto Alomar's run-scoring double capping the rally, and another in the second on a sacrifice fly for a 5-0 lead.

The Dodgers scored three times in the seventh, taking advantage of an Atlanta fielding misplay. Alomar also drove in the final run in that rally.
