
OKLAHOMA CITY, April 1 (UPI) -- Marc Jackson scored a season-high 24 points Friday night as the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets beat Memphis, 107-102.
Chris Paul totaled 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals; Linton Johnson had 16 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots; and Rasual Butler added 15 points and five rebounds for the Hornets (34-37), who remained two games behind eighth-place Sacramento for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Reserve Bobby Jackson had a game-high 26 points, two assists and two steals; Shane Battier had 24 points and 10 rebounds; and Mike Miller added 23 points and three rebounds for the Grizzlies (41-32).
Memphis has lost three in a row after a seven-game winning streak and remains two games behind eighth place Sacramento for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Hornets shot 59.4 percent from the floor while the Grizzlies was 49.3 percent.
