Vancouver's Alex Auld had 20 saves on the night, surrendering Brian Rolston's 32nd goal of the second in the second period.

The Rolston goal came just 40 seconds after Sedin broke up a clearing try by Minnesota and ended up with the puck in front of a virtually empty net. It was his 21st goal of the season.

The victory moved Vancouver into a tie with Anaheim for sixth place in the NHL Western Conference, with the top eight teams making the playoffs.
