NHL: Dallas 2, Anaheim 1

DALLAS, March 30 (UPI) -- Sergie Zobov and Niko Kapanen each scored short-handed goals in lifting the Dallas Stars to a 2-1 victory over the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

Kapanen's goal came late in the second period and proved to be the game-winner. He deflected a shot from Antti Miettinen while the Stars were on the power play because of a roughing double-minor to Anaheim's Chris Kunitz.

Zobov gave Dallas a 1-0 lead earlier in the period, converting a pass from Mike Modano. Zobov fired a shot from the blue line that beat Mighty Ducks' goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere.

Anaheim's goal came from Ryan Getzlaf less than a minute after the Zobov score.

Dallas goaltender Marty Turco faced just 17 shots -- stopping 16 -- in the victory.
