ST. LOUIS, March 23 (UPI) -- Dave Checketts, the former president of the New York Rangers and Madison Square Garden, has reportedly agreed to buy the St. Louis Blues.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Checketts would purchase the NHL team for $150 million. The lease for the Savvis Center would be part of the deal, which would be subject to the approval of the league's board of governors.

Checketts had a 30-day exclusive negotiating period last year, but it expired without current owners Bill and Nancy Laurie agreeing to a sale.
The newspaper report said Checketts had no plans to move the team.
