Two-time Indy 500 winner Unser unretiring

INDIANAPOLIS, March 21 (UPI) -- Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser Jr. will come out of retirement to race in this year's Indianapolis 500.

"The Indy 500 is my true love, so we're going to go back there," the 48-year-old Unser said Tuesday.

Unser's last start was in 2004 at Richmond where he finished 21st. He raced three times that year finishing 17th at Indy and 11th at Texas before saying he had lost his passion for racing and retiring.

Al Unser Jr. won Indianapolis in 1992 and 1994. His father won the race four times and his uncle Bobby Unser won it three times.
