EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 21 (UPI) -- Peter Forsberg had a goal and an assist Tuesday to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils.

Simon Gagne scored the Flyers' other goal and Antero Niittymaki made 21 saves for Philadelphia, which has won three of its last four games.

The Flyers trail New York by two points for first-place in the NHL's Atlantic Division.

Brian Gionta scored the Devils' only goal and Martin Brodeur stopped 19 shots for New Jersey, which has lost four of its last five games.
