COL BKB: Georgetown 70, Ohio State 52

DAYTON, Ohio, March 19 (UPI) -- Roy Hibbert scored a team-high 20 points Sunday as Georgetown trounced Ohio State, 70-52, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Dayton, Ohio.

The contest was part of the Minneapolis Bracket.

Jeff Green had 19 points, six rebounds and three assists; Ashanti Cook had 15 points, three rebounds and two assists; and Darrel Owens had 14 points, three rebounds and three steals for the 7th-seeded Hoyas (23-9), who landed in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2001 and will meet No. 3 seed Florida in Minneapolis on Friday.

Terence Dials had 19 points and four rebounds; Jamar Butler had 12 points, two rebounds and three assists; and Je'Kel Foster had 11 points, three rebounds and three steals for the second-seeded Buckeyes (26-7). Their loss means the Big Ten Conference will not have a team in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1997.

Georgetown out-rebounded OSU, 34-20.
