COL BKB: Wichita St. 80, Tennessee 73

GREENSBORO, N.C., March 18 (UPI) -- P.J. Couisnard scored a team-high 20 points Saturday as Wichita State surprised Tennessee, 80-73, in the Washington, D.C. Bracket of the NCAA Tournament.

The contest was played at Greensboro, N.C.

Couisnard also had nine rebounds and five assists.

Sean Ogirri had 12 points, three rebounds and two assists; Missouri Conference Player of the Year Paul Miller had 10 points and eight rebounds; and Ryan Martin had 10 points and three rebounds for the 7th-seeded Shockers, who improved to 26-8 in their eighth trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Chris Lofton had 20 points, two assists, two rebounds and four steals; C.J. Watson had 20 points and two assists; and Major Wingate had 15 points and six rebounds for the second-seeded Volunteers, whose season ended at 22-8.

UT out-rebounded the Shockers, 34-31.
