Team USA out at the Classic

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 17 (UPI) -- Team USA was eliminated from the World Baseball Classic on Thursday with a 2-1 loss to Mexico at Anaheim, Calif.

The contest ended on just one pitch by reliever David Cortes in the top of the ninth inning when Vernon Wells grounded into a game-ending double play with the potential game-tying run on first base.
