Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
NASHVILLE, March 17 (UPI) -- Nashville goaltender Tomas Vokoun stopped all 24 shots he faced Thursday night, helping the Predators blank the visiting Phoenix Coyotes, 2-0.
It was the second consecutive shutout for Vokoun, who stopped 31 shots in a 5-0 victory over Vancouver on Tuesday.
Darcy Hordichuk and Adam Hall scored goals for the Predators, who set a franchise record with their 39th win of the season.
Goalie Curtis Joseph stopped 21 of 23 shots for the Coyotes, who lost for the fourth time in their last five games.
The Coyotes missed on seven man-advantage situations while one of the Nashville goals came on a power play.
