NHL: Atlanta 3, N.Y. Rangers 2 (OT)

NEW YORK, March 13 (UPI) -- Marc Savard scored a power-play goal 2:45 into overtime Sunday night to give Atlanta a 3-2 win over the New York Rangers.

On a productive night, Savard also had an assist as did Ilya Kovalchuk.

Bobby Holik and Niclas Havelid also had assists; and goalie Kari Lehtonen made 33 saves for the Thrashers (31-28-6), who have won four of their last five games.

Martin Straka and Jaromir Jagr each had goals; Steve Rucchin, Petr Sykora, Petr Prucha, and Sandis Ozolinsh added assists; and goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made 28 saves for the Rangers (36-18-10), who have dropped five in a row.

The Rangers out-shot Atlanta, 35-31. On the power play, the Flames were 2-for-8. New York was 1-for-6.

In 27 career games against the Thrashers, Jagr has 19 goals.
