Jimmie Johnson wins again

LAS VEGAS, March 12 (UPI) -- Jimmie Johnson edged Matt Kenseth to win Sunday's UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway.

His No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet crossed the finish line 0.046 seconds ahead of Kenseth's No. 17 Ford, giving Johnson his second of the season and 20th of his Nextel Cup career.

"That is great racing. It was so much fun," Johnson said afterwards. "I have had a lot of fun racing Matt over the years."

"I'm real disappointed because the crew did a top-notch job and I kinda let them down in the last corner," said Kenseth. "I did everything I could, Jimmie just did a better job than I did."

Kyle Busch was third, Kasey Kahne fourth, and Jeff Gordon fifth. In spots 6-10 were Mark Martin, Jeff Burton, Greg Biffle, Casey Mears and Denny Hamlin.
