COL BKB: Bucknell 74, Holy Cross 59

LEWISBURG, Pa., March 10 (UPI) -- Kevin Bettencourt scored a season-high 23 points Friday as Bucknell beat Holy Cross, 74-59, for its second straight Patriot League Tournament championship.

Bettencourt also had three rebounds and four assists and was 6-for-10 on three-point shots.

Charles Lee had 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists and Chris McNaughton had 14 points, two rebounds and two steals for the Bison (26-4), who secured just their fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament. Bucknell did not lose to a Patriot League opponent all season.

Kevin Hamilton had 20 points and seven rebounds; and Keith Simmons added 19 points, four rebounds and two assists for the Crusaders (20-12), who also lost to Bucknell in last year's tournament final.

Holy Cross had a slim 27-25 advantage in rebounds, but committed 19 turnovers to 13 by the Bison.
