Rams cut four-time pro bowl receiver Bruce

ST. LOUIS, March 6 (UPI) -- The St. Louis Rams cut four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Isaac Bruce Monday and signed defensive tackle La'Roi Glover to a three-year contract.

Bruce, 32, was scheduled to make $8.1 million this season, including a $1.5 million roster bonus due at the start of the free agency period. His salary cap number would have been $10.04 million.

Bruce, who has the option of re-signing with the Rams, has spent his entire 12-year career with the club and is the team's career leader in receptions (813), receiving yards (12,278) and receiving touchdowns (77).

Last season, Bruce had only 36 receptions for 525 yards and three touchdowns. He missed five games with a dislocated toe.

Glover, in 145 games with Oakland, New Orleans and Dallas, has 440 tackles, 71 1/2 sacks, 16 forced fumbles and two interceptions. He has not missed a game since 1997 with New Orleans.
