NHL: St. Louis 4, Vancouver 1

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 6 (UPI) -- Lee Stempniak logged a goal and an assist, while Jay McClement had three assists to drive the visiting St. Louis Blues to a 4-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks.

Barret Jackman, Christian Backman and Scott Young also scored for the Blues. Curtis Sanford stopped 23 shots for St. Louis, winners in three of their last four contests.

Anson Carter had the lone goal for Vancouver, which has dropped two of three games. Alex Auld allowed four goals on 35 shots for the Canucks.

The Blues were 1-for-6 on the power play, while Vancouver was 0-for-4.
