Hewitt, Blake win semis at Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, March 5 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Lleyton Hewitt and No. 5 James Blake Saturday were semifinal winners at the $380,000 Tennis Channel Open tennis tournament in Las Vegas, Nev.

After a scare when he dropped the first set, Hewitt, from Australia, rebounded for a 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 win over American Paul Goldstein. Blake, who needed a tie-break in the first set, rallied to top Ivo Karlovic of Croatia, 7-6 (7-2), 6-1.
