
NEW YORK, March 4 (UPI) -- Ben Gordon sank a key three-pointer late in the fourth quarter Friday night to help Chicago beat the hapless New York Knicks, 108-101.
Overall, Kirk Hinrich had 33 points, five assists and three rebounds; Gordon added 32 points, four rebounds and two assists; and rookie Luol Deng totaled 17 points, 15 rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Bulls (26-32), who have won twice in their last three outings.
Steve Francis had 18 points, five assists and four rebounds; Quentin Richardson added 16 points and two rebounds; Malik Rose had 15 points and 10 rebounds; and Stephon Marbury had 15 points, four assists and three steals for the Knicks (15-43), who have lost six in a row and blew a double-digit second-half lead to lose for the 22nd time in their past 24 games.
They also lost the battle of the boards, 48-45.
