NBA: BOSTON 99, INDIANA 98, March 4 (UPI) -- Paul Pierce had 31 points, four rebounds and eight assists Friday night as Boston edged the Indiana Pacers, 99-98.

Delonte West totaled 17 points, seven assists, four rebounds and three steals; Wally Szczerbiak had 13 points and three rebounds; Ryan Gomes had 13 points, six rebounds and a steal; and Raef LaFrentz had 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics (24-34), who have won three times in their past four games.

Peja Stojakovic had 24 points and four rebounds; Stephen Jackson added 20 points and seven rebounds; Fred Jones had 16 points, two rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots; and David Harrison had 10 points and two rebounds for the Pacers (29-26), who had a two-game winning streak broken.

Boston out-rebounded the Celtics, 38-30.
