COL BKB: Seton Hall 65, Pittsburgh 61

PITTSBURGH, March 3 (UPI) -- Kelly Whitney had 21 points and nine rebounds Friday night as Seton Hall upset 9th-ranked Pittsburgh, 65-61.

Donald Copeland added 15 points, six rebounds and four assists; and Jamar Nutter totaled seven points, three assists, a rebound and a steal for the Pirates (18-10, 9-7 Big East), who have won two in a row following a three-game skid.

The loss ended Pitt's chance for an unbeaten home season.

Aaron Gray had 17 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots; Levon Kendall added 15 points and eight rebounds; and, in his final home game, Carl Krauser had nine points, 11 assists and five rebounds for the Panthers (21-6, 10-6 Big East), who lost their final two games of the regular season and fell into fifth place in the conference.

Pitt out-rebounded the Pirates, 35-29 and committed 13 turnovers to only six by the winners.
