Kenseth wins race at Fontana

FONTANA, Calif., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Matt Kenseth won Sunday's Auto Club 500 Nextel Cup at Fontana, Calif., crossing the finish line 0.338 seconds ahead of runner-up Jimmie Johnson.

Kenseth's victory completed a weekend sweep of NASCAR events for race car owner Jack Roush. Mark Martin won the Craftsman Truck Series race on Friday night and Greg Biffle won Saturday's Busch Series event.

Sunday's victory was Kenseth's first of the season and the 11th of his Nextel Cup career.

"Jack has done a great job with this organization and given us strong cars," Kenseth said after the race. "It showed again today (Sunday). Greg (Biffle) had the dominant car and I felt bad for him."

Carl Edwards, Casey Kahne and Jeff Burton rounded out the top five, with Jamie McMurray, Casey Mears, J.J. Yeley, Mark Martin and Kyle Busch finishing in spots 6-10.
