Lyle two ahead at New Zealand PGA

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Jarrod Lyle shot a 3-under 69 Saturday to take a two-stroke lead through three rounds of the ING New Zealand PGA Championship.

Lyle was at 10-under 206 and with Brett Rumford second at 208. Rumford, who shared the second-round lead with Lyle, had a 1-under 71 in the third round.

Kevin Stadler, who won the Johnnie Walker Classic on the European Tour two weeks ago, posted a 70 and was tied for third at 210 with Paul Marantz, who shot a 68.

Conditions were difficult Saturday as wind gusted up to 20 mph.
