PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Charlotte's Kareem Rush scored 28 points on 12-of-14 shooting as the visiting Bobcats edged the Portland Trail Blazers, 110-106, Wednesday night.
Primoz Brezec contributed 19 points and five rebounds for Charlotte, which snapped a five-game skid. Forward Gerald Wallace, who had missed 15 straight games with a bone bruise in his left leg, finished with 15 points and seven boards.
For Portland, Ruben Patterson netted a season-high 25 points while Darius Miles had 20 points and eight rebounds, as the Trail Blazers dropped their third straight game and seventh in their last eight tries. Juan Dixon had 17 points and six assists in the closely-played game.
Charlotte's Melvin Ely injured his ankle late in the third quarter and did not return.
