COL BKB: George Wash. 77, LaSalle 65

WASHINGTON, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Regis Koundjia had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists Wednesday night to help 6th-ranked George Washington beat LaSalle, 77-65.

Maureece Rice added 12 points and two assists; Carl Elliott had 12 points, three assists and three steals; Danilo Pinnock had 10 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals; and Pops Mensah-Bonsu added 10 points and three rebounds for the Colonials (23-1, 13-0 Atlantic-10), who have a nation-high 15-game winning streak.

Darnell Harris had 19 points, two rebounds and blocked a shot; Steven Smith added 12 points, six rebounds and three assists; and Jermaine Thomas had 10 points, three assists and four rebounds for the Explorers (17-8, 9-5 A-10), who had a seven-game winning streak snapped.

GW out-rebounded LaSalle, 29-23. The Colonials committed only nine turnovers to 17 by the Explorers.
